Role of Volunteers

The volunteer has the basic function of helping the development of the program, whether directly in the library or with administrative tasks.

The eligibility requirements for a volunteer vary with the position, the duration of his/her stay, etc. In general, the following prerequisites are necessary:

Minimum Prerequisites:
- Intermediate knowledge of Spanish
- Minimum commitment of 3 weeks to work in a library
- Minimum commitment of 2 weeks to work in an administrative capacity

Responsibilities for the Library:
The responsibilities are subject to the library's needs at the time and the program developed by the Director of Libraries.Responsibilities for Administrative Work: Depending on a volunteer's interests and abilities, he/she will carry out projects assigned to him/her by the Director of Libraries and FDI.
